Climate Justice – Junk Kouture Day
Along with the rest of the world, we were busy marking the global climate strike on September 22nd. In our classes, we talked about the things we could do to help look after our school and our homes. For homework this week, we made ‘Junk Couture’ Outfits – new outfits made only out of things we found in our recycle bins at home. They looked really cool – check out the photos!
First Class wrote a letter to Dun Laoghaire County Council with a few ideas of things they could do to help look after the environment. There was a demonstration in Dun Laoghaire after school, and we all went down to it with our parents and teachers. We presented the letter to the county council there.
